Dan is an experienced tax lawyer
Dan’s practice focuses on the tax issues that arise when businesses interact with the individuals who work in them, and his particular expertise includes: employment tax, benefits and share schemes; senior executive engagement; and owner-managed business and partnership tax.
Dan’s experience of delivering tax advice and transactional support began when he moved to work in the City in 2000. He spent the first decade and a half of his legal career at a leading silver circle law firm, where as well as broad general tax exposure he gained particular experience in structuring funds and venture capital/private equity investments.
His clients have ranged from individual executives to global corporate groups, across many sectors including financial services, technology and manufacturing. His approach is collaborative, both in seeking to understand his clients and their businesses better and in developing good working relationships with other advisers. As well as strategic advice and working with clients on the implementation of transactions, Dan has experience of delivering good outcomes on HMRC disclosures and inquiries.
Dan is committed to delivering advice of the highest technical quality, and also understands that clients need practical and useful counsel to help them make effective and workable business decisions. His advice takes careful account of each client’s particular goals, business needs, overall strategy and values.
