Julie is a senior employment law specialist
Julie is a senior employment law specialist with over 15 years’ experience of advising both organisations and individuals on the full spectrum of employment law matters. She particularly specialises in resolving employment disputes.
As an experienced advocate, she can support clients through the full employment process including representation at an Employment Tribunal.
Julie initially trained as a Barrister in 1999. She worked for the Charity Commission for a brief time before joining Interchange Trust, an innovative London based charity, which provided legal advice to charities and other voluntary organisations. She provided legal advice and support on charity law and employment law during this time and built relationships with a number of clients that continue to instruct her.
Julie cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and joined a national law firm in their Manchester office specialising in employment law. As an experienced advocate, she undertook a mainly contentious practice during this period. She moved back to London when the firm launched an employment practice in the City. She maintained a varied client base and worked for senior executives and large multi-national companies whilst retaining her passion for the Third Sector.
Julie joined Jurit in 2015 as a Consultant and works closely with Adrian Hoggarth in the Employment team on providing a seamless service. She also collaborates with colleagues specialising in Tax and Incentives, Data Protection and workplace mediation in developing innovative products and services for our clients.
Julie firmly believes that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to employment law. She enjoys getting to know her clients and understanding how they work in order to ensure her advice is tailored to their business or individual needs.
She likes to take a collaborative approach in working with clients to find the most pragmatic and cost effective solutions to employment law issues. Julie also enjoys proactively supporting clients through training and workshops or writing articles and blogs.

A quote from Julie
“Jurit has enabled me to continue providing high quality employment law services but in a flexible manner to meet my childcare needs. Jurit is genuinely interested in providing a cost-effective service for clients and takes its client-centric approach very seriously. I have found working with Jurit to be very refreshing. My colleagues are all experienced in their fields but we work on a flat structure and egos are left at the door.”
